Opening in the summer of 2024, Milton CAT's new Stoughton, MA, facility will support customers with equipment sales, service, parts, and technology.
The service shop will be fully equipped with three overhead cranes, in-floor scissor lifts, easy-access oil reels, and heated floors. Milton CAT service technicians will be able to complete a wide range of service and repair tasks on both compact and large equipment.
The warehouse will stock an expansive parts inventory so most parts orders can be quickly fulfilled from the on-site inventory. Two automated vertical lift parts stocking systems (VLMs) will house the majority of parts. The parts will be stored on revolving tracks that automatically come down when a part needs to be picked. There is no need to get up in a man lift to pick a part so orders can be completed quickly and safely. For same-day assemblies, the hydraulic hose shop will be fully stocked with hoses and couplings for all makes and models of equipment.
