Tonawanda Ground Breaking

Gathering to break ground for the new Milton CAT facility in Tonawanda, New York

As a continuation of our previous story, we are happy to report Milton CAT successfully broke ground at the site of our future Tonawanda, NY, facility on October 14th. Tonawanda officials, including Mayor Rick Davis, and local and city news outlets joined Milton CAT for this exciting event.

The Tonawanda facility on Wheeler Street is the former home of Spaulding Fibre. The manufacturing company had been open 80 years before it closed in 1992. Five mayors and almost 30 years later, the town is elated to see the site productive again.

Milton CAT coming to Tonawanda means more to the townspeople than just new jobs and economic gain. The town residents have fond memories of the site and are glad to see the area being brought back to life. New York State Assemblyman Robin Schimminger grew up a block away from the Spaulding site and walked past it every day going to school.

The new metro location will enable Milton CAT to better serve customers in the region. We will also gain exposure to the diverse talent pool of the Buffalo area.

The 40,000-square-foot facility is expected to be completed in the fall of next year. Milton CAT is extremely grateful for our employees and customers who have made expanding to a second location in western New York possible.

We were excited that the groundbreaking received coverage on the nightly news. Please check out the coverage from WGRZ below.
