Milton CAT is Moving to North Syracuse

On August 28, 2023, Milton CAT, located on Ainsley Drive in Syracuse for the last 19 years, is moving to a new, state-of-the-art facility at 7309 Eastman Road in North Syracuse. The full-service location will be Central New York’s source for Caterpillar machines, work tools, generators, engines, parts, service, and technology.
Advancements in construction technology have transformed the way we work, our customers’ needs have evolved, and our team has grown out of the Ainsley Drive location. The purpose-built North Syracuse facility will enable us to better serve our customers and employees.

Equipped with the latest tooling and technology, the location was designed to provide easy access to expert support, enhanced service capabilities, and industry-leading products. The 30,000 sq. ft North Syracuse service shop is fully equipped for the 20+ in-shop service technicians to complete everything from standard preventive maintenance tasks to full machine rebuilds. The shop has 24 service bays, heated floors, extra windows for greater visibility, three in-floor scissor lifts with 12,000 lbs. of lifting capacity each, nine cranes, and eight fluid stations that dispense triple-filtered oil. Field service technicians will be able to quickly fill their truck with any necessary fluids and head out to support a customer on their job site.

The parts department features six vertical lift parts stocking systems (VLMs) to store over 17,000 different part types. In the rare event that a part is not in stock, it will come on the nightly shuttle from Milton CAT’s Milford, MA, headquarters or the Caterpillar parts depot in York, PA, and be available as soon as the next business day. Customers can order parts by phone, email, or online at parts.cat.com and pick up at the facility or one of several conveniently-located parts pick-up locations throughout Central New York. There is a state-of-the-art hydraulic hose assembly shop to quickly address hose failures for all machine makes and models of equipment. Most hose assemblies can be built the same day.

Milton CAT North Syracuse will also be home to SITECH Northeast’s operation center which will offer sales, service, and support for Trimble machine control technology. Utilizing machine control technology can significantly improve digging and grading accuracy for increased productivity. The operation center will house a service center, optics lab, and Total Station calibration range. The service center has the highest level of capabilities authorized by Trimble so most repairs can be completed on site resulting in faster turnaround times. Customers will be able to try SITECH Northeast’s technology along with CAT equipment and work tools in the facility’s machine demonstration area. Tri-Point Construction Layout, a Milton CAT sister company, created a 3D model of the demo area to enable the use of machine control technology.
